PBA Responds to Attorney General’s Call for Body Cameras

For Immediate Release:

The New York State Troopers Police Benevolent Association (PBA), the union representing uniformed members of the New York State Police, has been actively looking into the issue of body cameras. In light of the report issued by the state’s Attorney General recommending that the State Police equip its sworn members with body cameras, the PBA would like to see further study on this equipment and its implementation.

“We are not opposed to the concept,” said PBA President Thomas H. Mungeer. “We believe this issue is subject to collective bargaining and we look forward to discussing it with the leadership of the State Police in the future.”
