The PBA is saddened by the loss of one of our retirees, Sgt./SC Charles Salaway, who passed away on June 9 from an illness stemming from his assignment in the search and recovery efforts in New York City at the World Trade Center site following the 9/11 terrorist attack. Sgt./SC Salaway, 55, served with the New York State Police for 27 years. He is survived by his wife, five children and extended family.
