NY State Troopers PBA Mourns the Loss of One of Our Own

It is with deep regret that Major Rodney W. Campbell, Troop D Commander, announces the untimely death of retired Trooper Timothy A. Tyler, age 38, on Thursday, January 10, 2013. Trooper Tyler was last stationed at Troop D Headquarters in Oneida.

Tim was diagnosed with peripheral t-cell lymphoma in January of 2010. Tim earned wrestling championships twice at Canastota High School and was named a Division III All-American at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He joined the New York State Police on January 7, 2002.

• Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, 201 James Street, Canastota, New York, from 2PM to 8PM.
• Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at St. Agatha’s Church, 329 North Peterboro Street, Canastota, New York.
Interment will be in St. Agatha’s Cemetery, Oxbow Road, Canastota, New York.
