The thoughts and prayers of the entire NYSTPBA membership go out to the family, friends and former coworkers of retired Staff Sergeant Benedicto (Ben) Albizu Jr., 66, who passed away on May 9, 2024 from an illness as a result of his response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He served with the New York State Police for 33 years and retired in 2018. He was last assigned to Troop H, Aviation Unit.
