The Emerson Dillon Fund

Trooper Emerson Dillon was killed in the line of duty on October 24, 1974.

In 1975 the Trooper Emerson Dillon Fund was established in his memory by his widow, Mrs. June Dillon, who donated the monies for it. Mrs. Dillon chose the New York State Troopers PBA to administer the fund.

The purpose of the Fund is to aid the families of any State Police member, with dependent children, who is killed in the line of duty.

At the present time, when a member is killed in the line of duty, a check in the amount of $500 is presented to the member’s family in addition to any other benefits they may receive.
