Funeral arrangements have been set for New York State Trooper Joseph Longobardo, who died on Sept. 3, after being shot on the evening of Aug. 31 during the search for escaped convict Ralph Phillips in Chautauqua County.

Calling hours will be from 2 pm – 4 pm and from 7 pm – 9 pm on both Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 9 and 10, at the Saratoga Springs High School, 3 Blue Streak Blvd (West Avenue) in Saratoga Springs.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 11 at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church at 231 Lake Avenue in Saratoga Springs. The school district is allowing the East Side Recreation Field, which is across Lake Avenue from St. Clement’s, to be used for parking on Monday.

The State Troopers PBA will be hosting a funeral reception immediately following the burial ceremony, at the Saratoga National Golf Club at 458 Union Avenue in Saratoga Springs.
