PBA mourns death of Special Trooper

The State Troopers PBA is mourning the death of Special Trooper Bruce A. Bell, 52, who most recently had been working a security detail at the Niagara Power Plant in Troop A. Trooper Bell had retired from the State Police but was later rehired under a program that brought back a number of retired members for security details and other law enforcement duties following 9-11, with the rank of Special Trooper. Trooper Bell passed away on August 9, 2005. He was off duty. The PBA sends our thoughts and prayers to Trooper Bell’s family and friends. Calling hours will be on Saturday, August 13 and Sunday, August 14 from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. at the Amigone Funeral Home, 8440 Main Street, Clarence. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 15 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, 100 St. Gregory Court, Williamsville.
